Hearing Instrument Specialist Trainee

James Quinn

A serious auto accident at eighteen years of age left James Quinn with a significant hearing loss. Hearing aids of many makes and styles have been an important part of his life ever since.

This experience has greatly assisted his ability to help patients in the exam room. He understands the physical, emotional and mental aspects of hearing loss.

In addition to his own wealth of knowledge of hearing aids, Quinn is also an expert on sound. He owns and knows 70,000 cd’s, albums and even cassettes.

As a young man, he even installed car stereos. This also contributed to his insight into frequency bands.

Before transitioning into the science of hearing, Quinn worked with the challenges of aging in the field of senior housing and has first-hand knowledge of how hearing impairment affected his residents.

Quinn is a single-father of a special-needs young adult.
