About
Robert J. LaCosta, BC-HIS
Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist
Spanning four decades, Board Certified Robert J. LaCosta, BC-HIS, has successfully helped thousands of hearing-impaired clientele and has been the invited speaker to over 700 groups and organizations on the topic of hearing.
He was known as the specialist with “10,000 grandparents” and now has become a grandparent himself who understands the critical nature of properly hearing in familial, social and professional life.
LaCosta is the former owner and C.E.O. of Hear For You, a large hearing and audiology practice based in Albany, N.Y.
His patience and compassion for those with the frustrating malady of hearing loss has attracted countless referrals from patients and medical establishments.
The seasoned specialist also maintains a close eye on each patient’s personal concerns, saying, “I’ll never have 35 chairs in my waiting room, but I do have over 35 years of experience.”
His specialty lies in the area of background noise reduction and targeting the specific troublesome concerns of each person.
He is also widely known for his keen ability to match fitting strategies with his selection of exacting instruments - including those same ones used by The Mayo Clinic.
But his real claim to fame is that he considers each human being a person, not just a patient.
LaCosta is a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist (BC-HIS) and is a graduate of The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College).
He is married to Vincenzina Cavaleri who is also a seasoned hearing health care practice manager and who has had decades of experience with customer service.
